Current certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and licensed by theVirginia Board of Pharmacyor
Current registration as a Pharmacy Intern with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy
By virtue of societal trust and security explicitly imparted to pharmacies for the control of drugs, candidate/incumbent must have a clean criminal record (i.e. no felony conviction; no drug or pharmacy related convictions, including misdemeanors; no denial, suspension, revocation or restriction of registration or licensureby any State Board of Pharmacy).

One year previous pharmacy practice experience in a similar setting
Previous experience using a standard keyboard and typing speed of 20-30 words per minute

High school diploma or equivalent
Enrolled as a current student in an accredited School of Pharmacy Program

Independent action(s) required:
Performs tasks designated by the pharmacist to assist in patient care that do not legally require a pharmacist's supervision or verification.
Communicates effectively with all staff members.
Identifies equipment or operational problems and brings them to the attention of a pharmacist or pharmacy manager.
Interacts with other health care practitioners in a multidisciplinary environment.
